Summer is coming 😎🍹

mindset nutrition training Mar 25, 2022

12 weeks from now, brings us to the middle of June.

I don’t know if that’s scary because the year is flying, or exciting because the Summer is going to be here before we know it!

Now, before you think I’ve regressed - I’m not here to sell you a ‘12 weeks until Summer’ body transformation.

I’m not a fan of any ‘transformations’ with an end date, and I’m not a fan of dieting hard for a holiday.

It’s not that I don’t want you feeling good in a bikini, but I’m thinking of the long game.

I used to be that person that restricted my calories so hard in the run up to a holiday, just to feel good in the pictures on the first day.

Then I would be so hungry, and I would be in ‘holiday mode’ that I would eat so excessively, to the point where I couldn’t listen to my body’s hunger signals and stop when full.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t have Pringles for breakfast ‘because you’re on your holidays’, but if you don’t arrive on holidays starving, you are more likely to make mindful decisions about what your body actually needs.

And, most importantly, what happens when the holiday ends after restricting before it and over-eating hugely during it?

You come home feeling cr*p. More restriction.

If you read my email yesterday, you know that big restriction is the antithesis to long term fat loss.

If this sounds like how you usually approach your summer holiday(or any event!), perhaps you should implement some new habits and mindset techniques to help you approach it stress-free.

If your goal is fat loss, starting with a sustainable and healthy calorie deficit now, will have you dropping centimetres without having to do anything drastic.

Most importantly, you will have the knowledge and mindset shift to know how to handle your training and nutrition before, during and after your holiday.

If you want to get started to day - click here for more information, or reply to this email with any questions you have.
